This prized blend, carefully aged in the cellars at Brolio Castle, warms hearts and souls and offers extraordinary taste, which elegance and freshness stands even the test of many years of ageing.

80% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.

Castello di Brolio created from a meticulous selection of estate-grown grapes from the three most representative soils in Brolio: Macigno del Chianti (sandstone), Scaglia Toscana (Galestro), Monte Morello (Alberese).

Harvest: The grapes were harvested from August 30 to October 7, 2011
Ageing: 18/21 months in barriques and tonneaux
Bottling: July 24, 29, 30, 2013
Alcohol: 14%

Tasting notes

Flavours of ripe red fruit like cherry, blueberry, blackberry and notes of violet. Vanilla, spices and a pleasant balsamic note. Wine of great personality and character, elegant and rich in taste. The wine made from the best Brolio grapes cannot but be delicious.
