Casalferro vineyard’s brown earth type of soil, of clay loam texture and poor in organic matter, determines the exclusive personality of this great Chianti Merlot.
Harvest: the best grapes of Casalferro vineyard were hand-picked from September 13 to 24, 2013 Ageing: 18 months in barriques and tonneaux Bottling: July 2015 Alcohol: 14%
Intense ruby red in color. The nose is powerful with balsamic eucalyptus and ripe red fruit aromas. The wine is elegant and sharp, with soft tannins and long finish. A cru of Merlot that reflects the terroir of Brolio.
