The 2021 vintage of Historia Familiae marks the beginning of a new chapter for this exceptional wine from the Ricasoli collection, produced only in extraordinary years. From this vintage onward, it will be a pure Cabernet Sauvignon, a choice that reflects the exceptional quality achieved by this grape variety. 

100% Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2021 vintage of Historia Familiae marks the beginning of a new chapter for this exceptional wine from the Ricasoli collection, produced only in extraordinary years. From this vintage onward, it will be a pure Cabernet Sauvignon, a choice that reflects the exceptional quality achieved by this grape variety.

A pure Merlot obtained from grapes coming from three different vineyards: Vigna Casalferro, Vigna Pecchierino, and Vigna Sodacci.

It is the alter ego of the estate’s grand vin, echoed by both its name and its label design. Like its elder brother, an all-Sangiovese, Sanbarnaba’s mission is to showcase the quality possibilities of Trebbiano, a grape long a feature of the estate and here given a non-traditional vinification.

True to tradition, Castello di Brolio Vin Santo, showcases one of the "historic" grapes of the area, the Malvasia del Chianti; the production method is conventional as well.

To give life to the elegant amber-coloured Grappa Riserva Castello di Brolio, the distillate must mature for at least 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Distilled from pomace of the grapes that used to produce the Castello di Brolio Gran Selezione wine.
