Distinctive traits: ripe red fruit and plum, complex and elegant structure
This single vineyard Sangiovese lies on a clayey-calcareous soil, known as “alberese”, in the geological formation of Monte Morello, one of the most representative typologies of the Chianti Classico denomination: very stony soil, rich in calcium carbonate and clay and poor in organic substance.
Harvest: on October 4 the best grapes of Colledilà vineyard were hand-picked
Ageing: 18 months in 500 litre-tonneaux, of which 30% new and 70% second passage
Bottling: Enf of July 2015
Alcohol: 14%
Tasting notes
Delicate ruby red color. Complex nose, elegant, subtle and persistent. Aromas of violets, iris, mature red fruits and pepper, with notes of white chocolate. Velvety mouthfeel, full and warm, slightly savory, with soft tannins. Long and persistent aftertaste, expressing all the personality of the Brolio Sangiovese grape.
