Castello di Brolio created from a meticulous selection of estate-grown grapes from the three most representative soils in Brolio: Macigno del Chianti (sandstone), Scaglia Toscana (Galestro), Monte Morello (Alberese).
Harvest: The grapes were harvested by hand from September 6 to October 14, 2013
Ageing: 21 months in barriques and tonneaux (20% new)
Bottling: July 2015
Alcohol: 14.5%
Tasting notes
Intense and elegant nose, with floral aromas and ripe red fruit, licorice, vanilla and chocolate. Full and enveloping, with soft and velvety tannins, and a long finish, It is the maximum expression of the “Brolio” terroir.
